SUMMARY:Gita Chanting Competition 2026
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: For the competition students will be asked to chant a subset of the verses assigned to their age group.  \n\n\n\nOur annual Gita Chanting competition is scheduled for Saturday March 21st (for children) and TBD (for adults) 2026.  \n\n\n\nThe competition will be conducted in person at the Ashram for children and via Teams for adults.  \n\n\n\nIt will be on Chapter 12\, “Yoga of Devotion/Bhakti Yoga”. \n\n\n\nThe verses to be memorized for the competition are as follows:Shishu-KG: Verses 1-81st-2nd grade: Verses 1-113rd-4th grade: Verses 1-145th-6th grade: Verses 1-177th+ grades: Verses 1-20Adults: entire chapter (verses 1-20) \n\n\n\nAdults: entire chapter (verses 1-20)Note: For adults\, there are 2 parts to the challenge: recitation from memory\, and quiz on the meaning. You can choose to participate in one or both. \n\n\n\nPlease encourage your kids to participate.
