Our wait is over; this year the 31st Chinmaya Mahasamadhi Aradhana Camp is returning IN PERSON at…WASHINGTON DC!
Our love and gratitude for Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda bind us all together as One Chinmaya Family. The annual event which brings our Chinmaya family together to exclusively celebrate His life and legacy is our annual Chinmaya Mahasamadhi Aradhana Camp.
Our respected Swami Swaroopananda will be present in-person leading this 31st MSC along with Swami Shantananda, Swami Dheerananda, Swami Ishwarananda, and Swami Aparajitananda who will be covering inspirational topics and planning activities for the entire family. There will be activities for children from pre-k through grade 8, high schoolers, young adults, adults and seniors. Actyivities like meditation, workshops, yoga, swaranjali, cultural programs will keep everyone occupied for the whole day, not to mention mouthwatering food. There will be opportunities to share in devotion and offer seva by participating in Bhiksha, Arati, and Puja.

Our camp registration fee is inclusive of daily programs and activities and all meals starting with dinner on July 29- lunch on August 3, 2024. Children must be accompanied by at least one registered adult enrolled in the camp. Each family must book their own overnight accommodations if needed. What is a Family camp? A family camp is one where every family member gets to participate in activities meant for their age group, enhancing their own well being, growing together, enjoying together.
Why is it called Mahasamadhi Family Camp? This annual family camp hosted by any Chinmaya Mission Center of North America, ends on August 3rd, which is the day our Gurudev, Pujya Swami Chinmayanandaji attained Mahasamadhi. Hence the name.
When and where is the Mahasamadhi Camp (MSC) being held this year? The dates for the Mahasamadhi Camp are July 29 – Aug 3, 2024. This year, the Mahasamadhi Camp is being hosted by Chinmaya Mission Washington DC and the venue for the camp is Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 5701 Marinelli Rd, Rockville, MD 20852
What is so special about MSC? Every year, many devotees from around the world gather to bask in the presence and satsangs of many Swamins and Brahmacharins of Chinmaya Mission West. The sessions for adults are being conducted by none other than Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji, the head of Chinmaya Mission Worldwide. It is akin to a Kumbha Mela, where all devotees take a dip in the Holy Ganges of Knowledge. Every age group of participants gets to make new friends, that are like minded and inspiring to hand out with.
What about lodging, food etc.? You camp registration includes sumptuous meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, tea and coffee etc. Lodging needs to be booked via a separate link to the facility.
