Gita Chanting Competition 2025
March 22 @ 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm
NOTE: For the competition students will be asked to chant a subset of the verses assigned to their age group.
Our annual Gita Chanting competition is scheduled for Saturday March 22nd (for children) and Saturday April 12th (for adults) 2025.
The competition will be conducted in person at the Ashram for children and via Zoom for adults.
It will be on Chapter 5, “Yoga of True Renunciation”.
The verses to be memorized for the competition are as follows:
Shishu-KG: Verses 1-10
1st-2nd grade: Verses 1-15
3rd-4th grade: Verses 1-20
5th-6th grade: Verses 1-25
7th+ grades: Verses 1-29
Adults: entire chapter (verses 1-29)
Note: For adults, there are 2 parts to the challenge: recitation from memory, and quiz on the meaning. You can choose to participate in one or both.
