Margazhi Music Mahotsav

The Margazhi Music Mahotsav is a grand cultural celebration held during the Tamil month of Margazhi (December-January). Rooted in tradition, it showcases the rich heritage of Carnatic music and devotional compositions. This vibrant festival brings together accomplished musicians, passionate rasikas (audiences), and devotees in an immersive experience of music and spirituality.

Central to this season is the recitation and musical rendition of Andal’s Thiruppavai, the 30 divine hymns of love and devotion dedicated to Lord Krishna. These verses not only enrich the festival with their profound meaning but also serve as a beacon of devotion and timeless wisdom.
