Over the Sankranti weekend, our Youth, JCHYKs – Junior Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (Grade 9-12) and CHYKs – Chinmaya Yuva Kendra (College Students) had a fun movie night at the ashram, mingling socially and spending time with one another as the school year begins.
Kids voted on watching Three Idiots, and as it was screened, high schoolers and CHYKs alike enjoyed the movie in a communal setting.
They convened afterwards for a potluck pizza and Pongal dinner, and ended with making vegetarian s’mores around a campfire.
The evening was a fun-filled bonding event with good food, a warm fire, an entertaining movie, and new friends for everybody who attended.
We certainly hope that with the grace of Pujya Gurudev, our Youth continue to bond and support each other, learn, serve and grow together, deepening their sense of belonging to the Chinmaya family.
