Chinmaya Gurukul witnessed a very divine and sublime Guru Poornima puja yesterday, June 3rd, 2023. For spiritual seekers all over the world, the day of Veda Vyasa’s birth on this earth is a day to rejoice, a sure sign of the abundance of God’s grace. It is this day, which is celebrated as Vyasa Poornima or Guru Poornima where we honor the Guru Parampara through which we receive the knowledge of scriptures so meticulously organized and passed down by the compassionate Vyasa himself, in a Guru-Shishya (teacher-disciple) tradition.
At Gurukul, we invoked the grace of our Guru by worshiping his Padukas on which he stands, firmly abiding in the ancient knowledge of the scriptures received through this age-old tradition and spreading it to the world around for which, we are eternally grateful.
During the puja, our ashram reverberated with divine chants and bhajans, uplifting the minds of everyone present there. This was followed by Aarti and Prasad, and of course a lot of bonding between our Chinmaya Gurukul family members. We thank all that could make it to the puja.
