Celebrating Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav
Led by Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, a Yuga Purusha, the sage of all ages, the Chinmaya Movement awakened the world to the timeless light of Vedanta. The Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav is a commemoration of this enduring legacy, a collective expression of gratitude and a revival of the joy and purpose his vision continues to inspire.
It is a collective invocation, a luminous uprising of gratitude, a joyous revival of purpose, a glorious festival of Consciousness and a radiant unfolding of bliss that knows no bounds.
Chinmaya devotees are uniting worldwide through signature festivals, spiritual initiatives, cultural offerings, Centre-led events, and global online offerings.
What is Samashti Gita Chanting?

As part of the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, to celebrate 75 years of Chinmaya movement, Chinmaya Mission Atlanta and Chinmaya Mission Alpharetta have decided to unite voices in the timeless chant of the Bhagavad Gita, the very scripture that laid the foundation for Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s vision and work.
This collective chanting is both a spiritual offering and a reaffirmation of Chinmaya Mission’s commitment to studying, reflecting on, and living the Gita.
A powerful tapestry of voices rising as one – the Samashti Gita Chanting brings together individuals and communities to chant Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita, the Purushottama Yoga, in unison. Celebrated as the essence of the entire Gita, this chapter encapsulates the glory of the Supreme and the path to liberation.
Why Bhagavad Gita – Chapter 15?
Chapter 15 reveals the Supreme Being (Puruṣottama) as the source of both the transient world and the eternal realm. It teaches the soul’s divine origin, the grip of material attachments, and the liberating path of detachment, devotion, and realizing the Divine—leading to true freedom and union with God.
In this chapter, Lord Krishna explains the symbolic Aśvattha tree (the eternal tree of material existence), the imperishable soul (Ātmā), and the Supreme Purushottama who transcends both the perishable and imperishable. By surrendering to the Divine, one attains liberation (moksha) and eternal bliss.

What is Gita Panchamrit?
Gita Panchamrit is an initiative of Chinmaya Mission that seeks to awaken love and reverence for the Bhagavad Gita in every heart. Through five carefully chosen verses—simple to learn, inspiring to reflect upon, and uniting in spirit—it offers a glimpse of the Gita’s timeless relevance. The first three verses guide what we, as seekers, can do; the last two reveal what Bhagavan does when we surrender in faith. The verses provided here with Sandhi split for easy chanting.
Here, is Swami Swaroopananda, Global head of Chinmaya Mission on the important of chanting Gita Panchamrit.
