Do you think you need to be a grown up to serve and make a difference in the lives of everyone around you? Think again!

Meet Parin Lahoty, our rising Kindergarten Bala Vihar student, who decided to serve his Chinmaya Gurukul ashram by putting up a lemonade and cookie stand!
Parin has had such a deep and profound impact on his mind, from his Bala Vihar class, where he learned the deeper significance of alphabet “S is for Seva”, and “Z is for Zeal”. He has imbibed them to the core. When his parents asked him about the cause he would like to support, he decided that he would donate the money to “his Gurukul”.

So in the morning, Parin colored the board, and a lemonade stand was put in their neighborhood pool/firepit on June 15. Saturday. Initially, not many people showed up, so he kept asking his parents when people would come. The parents suggested that it takes time, and so if he wanted, we could go back as it was getting hotter. He declined and said, “No, I had a Z for Zeal for it. That’s what Sridevi Auntie had said.”
Thanks to the loving parents who helped nurture these moral values, by supporting a big noble cause arising in the mind of a seemingly young child!
Way to go Parin, you have inspired all of us! Our love and blessings are with you. May your desire to serve the world grow in leaps and bounds! May you shine and give always just like the Sun!
